Educational Materials

This page contains a number of pamphlets created by and for Project Liberty to help individuals who were coping with the World Trade Center disaster and its aftereffects. In addition to making available these pamphlets, Project Liberty has produced a toolkit of disaster mental health response materials in CD-ROM format.

The Project Liberty Disaster Mental Health Toolkit is a compilation of information, materials and resources used by the staff of Project Liberty in responding to the mental health needs of victims of the World Trade Center disaster. The aims of the Toolkit are to draw on Project Liberty resources and experience to:

  • Aid disaster mental health needs assessment, program design and planning efforts
  • Enable rapid disaster mental health program implementation, management and monitoring
  • Promote effective evaluation of client and program outcomes
  • Encourage the sharing of best practices and quality improvement initiatives

If you have an interest in learning more about the the first version of this toolkit or receiving a copy, please contact Elizabeth Pease via e-mail or by telephone at 518 402-2411.

Pamphlets

A number of the pamphlets were available in a variety of languages and in large-print format. It is important to know that the information in the pamphlets listed on this page is not up-to-date. As of December 31, 2003, Project Liberty phased down operations. Anyone who desires information about current counseling services to cope with the effects of September 11 should call the 24-hour LIFENET referral line at:
